Computer
Purchased a J5Create USB-Dock for the Mac from MicroCenter. $58.84 w/tax. Now I am able to plugin the HDMI monitor, Das Keyboard, 3 ancient, but good speakers from my ENthEnergy days.
Movies
Watched “Avatar: (Fire and Ash)” runtime: 3h17m. What a waste of time.
Books
This week I purchased Vibe Coding, and having a good time reading about vibecoding. Thus far, while I understood what vibecoding is, I did not have the right mental model for it. After reading the book (still in chapter 1, however Steve’s blog has been very handy in learning how he came about putting it all together), I have a ramping scale of AI assisted coding. I am also looking forward to going through some of yakshaves and project-ideas to exercise vibecoding, especially with the help of beads.

AI
AI will kill all the lawyers — No, it will not kill all the lawyers. It will obsolete those who provide clerical services and will not upgrade to use the new tools. Some of this is going to be just generational. Many that refuse to use it will age out, or they will see their services being discounted by other who do use the new tools. In a decade, once the “AI tools” come through the front door as “Legal software”, everyone will be using them directly or indirectly. The concerns about “hallucination” are already obsolete. We cannot expect lawyers to keep up with the breakneck speed of technological development. Let them hang on that wrong notion.
